Turning the Page – Van for Sale, Chapter 2 Begins
It’s official — the van is going up for sale.
Before anyone panics, no… this isn’t the end of van life for me. Far from it. If anything, this marks the start of Chapter 2. A new build. A new vision. A chance to take everything I’ve learned from my first two builds and pour it into the next one.
I’ve been incredibly lucky to work with Dmitriy and the team at SergSupply // RigWell on past projects, and I can say with 100% certainty that I want to work with them again on this next chapter. They’ve become more than just partners — they’re friends who understand how I travel, camp, and explore.
Why the Change?
Over the last few years, I’ve learned a lot about what I truly enjoy when I’m out on the road. For me, the sweet spot is somewhere between remote boondocking and access to the kinds of trails that make you stop every 20 minutes just to take in the view. I like exploring the less-traveled roads, finding quiet fishing spots, and setting up camp where the night sky feels endless.
The current van has been a dream for extended trips, but as a daily driver, it’s… a lot. Which brings me to something I’ve missed: having a truck. There’s a certain practicality (and yes, fun) in having the flexibility to haul gear, run errands, and still tow or explore as needed. The idea of pairing a future van build with a truck daily driver feels like the best of both worlds.
About the Van
If you’ve been following along, you’ve seen this van evolve into what it is today. But for those who are new, here’s a quick run-through of the highlights:
2022 Mercedes Sprinter 4x4, 30,000 miles, 100,000-mile factory warranty
Fully equipped for off-grid living: 28 gallons fresh water, Isotherm DR130 fridge, Espar D2 diesel heater, Maxxair fan
EcoFlow 10kWh system with a unique 48v setup for power efficiency
Exterior upgrades for both form and function: Baja Designs lighting, ARB dual compressor, FVCO safari rack, Owl Offroad carriers, 1Up bike rack, Fiamma awning, and more
Full Serg Supply interior - masterfully crafted and well maintained
This van has taken me across states, through national parks, over mountain passes, and into some of the most beautiful camp spots I’ve ever seen. It’s been my home, my escape, and my adventure rig all rolled into one.
What’s Next
Selling this van isn’t about stepping away from adventure — it’s about refining it. The next build will be even more tailored to how I travel and camp today. Lighter, smarter, and even more dialed-in to my style. And yes… Dmitriy, if you’re reading this, I hope you’re ready for round three.
This is also a reminder that van life isn’t just about the vehicle. It’s about the freedom it gives you. Whether it’s in a fully built Sprinter, a simple truck bed setup, or something in between — the goal stays the same: get outside, explore more, and enjoy the ride.
So here’s to the next chapter. The van may be moving on to its next owner, but the adventures? They’re just getting started.
